PMP® Exam Simulator

Welcome to the PMP® Certification Simulation Exam!

This simulator is designed to fully prepare you for the official Project Management Professional (PMP®) exam, aligned with the 2021 PMI® Exam Content Outline (ECO).
Below are the key instructions to make the most of your practice experience.

Exam Details

Number of exams: 3 complete full-length mock exams with a question bank of 600+ unique questions. You can take each exam as many times as you want during your subscription.

Questions per exam: 180 questions (multiple choice, multiple response, drag-and-drop, and hotspot), exactly matching the real PMP® exam format.

Duration: 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes) per exam, plus two optional 10-minute breaks after questions 60 and 120 (250 minutes total if breaks are taken).

Scoring: Each scored question is worth 1 point (180 points total). A score of 144 points or higher (80%) is recommended as a strong indicator of readiness, similar to the real exam.

Format: Questions are presented in random order, one per screen.

Content coverage: All three domains of the 2021 ECO:

  • Domain I: People (42%)
  • Domain II: Process (50%)
  • Domain III: Business Environment (8%)

References: Explanations are based on the PMBOK® Guide (6th & 7th Editions), the 2021 PMP® ECO, and current industry standards in project management.

How to Take the Exam

Before Starting

  • Find a quiet, distraction-free location to replicate real exam conditions.
  • Ensure a stable internet connection if taking the exam online.
  • Have paper and pencil ready for notes (e.g., earned value calculations or network diagrams), though not required.
  • Keep track of time — you have an average of 1.27 minutes per question.
  • Review the 2021 PMP® ECO to fully understand the domains, tasks, and principles.

During the Exam

Read each question carefully and select the best answer according to PMI® project management principles.

Manage your time — don’t get stuck on difficult questions. Flag them and return later if time allows. Note: you cannot go back to the first 60 or 120 questions after taking a break.

Answer every question — there is no penalty for wrong answers.

Use the navigation buttons (next/previous) when available.

Stay calm — this is practice. Every mistake is a learning opportunity.

After the Exam

Review the detailed explanations for every question, including:

  • Rationale for the correct answer
  • Specific references to the 2021 ECO (domain, task, enabler) and/or PMBOK® Guide 7th Edition
  • Analyze your performance and identify areas for improvement (e.g., risk management, team leadership).

Take notes on key concepts or tools to review before the real exam (e.g., Monte Carlo analysis, Gantt charts, conflict management, agile estimation).

Tips for Success
Simulate real conditions — try to complete each exam in one sitting and use the 10-minute breaks to build stamina.

Study the explanations even when you get a question right — it reinforces deep understanding.

Retake exams if needed — if you score below 80%, focus on weak areas and try again after studying.

Trust the process — these mocks mirror the difficulty and style of the real PMP®, so strong performance here is an excellent predictor of success.

Recommended resources — complement your practice with PMI® Study Hall, PMI-authorized practice exams, and the PMBOK® Guide 7th Edition.

Final Notes

  • Integrity — answer without external materials to honestly assess your knowledge.
  • Technical support — if you experience issues, contact site support or the exam administrator.
  • Reference materials — keep your PMBOK® Guide 7th Edition or the 2021 ECO handy for deeper review after each attempt.

You’re one step closer to your PMP® certification!

Start the exams whenever you’re ready and use these practice sessions to strengthen your skills across people, process, and business environment.
